Open Source Licenses

VestiCore is an open-core project. The base components are available under the following open-source licenses:

Your Rights (Open Source)

• Use for any purpose, including commercial
• Full access to hardware designs and source code
• Modification and redistribution permitted

Your Obligations (Open Source)

• Modifications must be released under the same license
• Copyright notice must be retained

VestiCore Pro – Commercial License

In addition to the open-source base, VestiCore Pro offers extended functionality as proprietary software:

• User management with manager and user accounts
• Cloud storage on servers in Austria
• Advanced analysis and reporting
• Access via web, mobile, and desktop app

Included with Purchase

When purchasing a VestiCore DIY Kit or Ready Kit, you receive:

• Lifetime access to VestiCore Pro
• 1 manager account for administration
• 3 user accounts for your team

Pro Extended (Subscription)

For larger teams and institutions: Expansion to up to 100 user accounts for €9.99/month.

Company Rights

Copyright: As the copyright holder, Flof Codes e.U. reserves the right to release future versions under different licenses (dual licensing).

Trademark Rights: The name 'VestiCore', the logo, and 'Flof Codes e.U.' are protected. The open-source licenses do not grant any trademark rights.

Support & Warranty: Support and warranty apply exclusively to products purchased from Flof Codes e.U. and the hosted Pro service.

VestiCore uses the following third-party components:

Limitation of Liability

The software and hardware are provided 'as is' without warranty. The authors are not liable for damages arising from use.

Under Austrian law: Liability for intent and gross negligence cannot be excluded. For consumers, the provisions of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG) apply.

Medical Notice

VestiCore is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis or treatment of diseases.

Consult a physician before use if you have: vestibular disorders, epilepsy, a pacemaker, or are pregnant.

Contributions (CLA)

Before your first contribution, contributors must sign our Contributor License Agreement. This grants Flof Codes e.U. the right to release your contribution under other licenses.

CLA signing is handled automatically via CLA Assistant on your first pull request.

Applicable Law

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Place of jurisdiction is Innsbruck, Austria. For consumers, statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
