About Us

VestiCore is an open-source platform for balance training, developed by Flof Codes e.U. in Tyrol, Austria.

Meet the Creator

I'm Florian Fritz, the developer behind VestiCore.

For over a decade, I worked as a parkour instructor, personal trainer, athletic coach, and neuroathletic trainer. Through these roles, I developed a deep understanding of how the vestibular system works and how to train it effectively—partly driven by personal experience with my own reduced vestibular function.

Eventually, I made a career shift into technology. I pursued a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Innsbruck while working as a web developer, building full-stack applications and diving into embedded systems. When it came time for my thesis, the two paths converged: I wanted to build something meaningful that combined my technical skills with my background in movement and balance training.

VestiCore started as a device I built for myself—and I've been using it regularly ever since. Right now, I'm in the research phase, exploring which protocols, parameters, and setups deliver the best results.

I've made VestiCore fully open source because I believe it can benefit many others. Anyone can study it, build upon it, or construct their own. If you'd rather skip the build process, I can provide a ready-made device.

Want to get involved?

Whether you have ideas for improvement, want to contribute to the project, or represent an organization interested in testing VestiCore in a larger setting—I'd love to hear from you.
